Leaking AC evap core housing - RoamingKat - 08-11-2018

I have been chasing this leak for weeks.

I should have verified for myself that the fluid leaking into the passenger compartment was coming from the heater core.   Well, if I had taken the rag and smelled it.   Alas, it is just water, not radiator fluid.    I wasted that time ordering the heater core, and processing the return.

This is coming out of the box in the passenger compartment...right under the dash in front of the passenger seat.

It was suggested that this was probably a clog drain hose.  So, I hooked up the compressor and blew it out.    Still leaks.   Lots of water....running the AC for about 20 minutes resulted in 2 bath towels soaked.  Water. (The humidity here is truely horrendous) It is not the core itself or I would have no AC at all.

So...I got under there on my back, and I cannot see any screws.   How does this thing come out?

I am pretty sure the housing is cracked.  Either the base component where the drain hose attaches or the main housing.    I know I can fix that.  I doubt I could buy a new one...given the age of the vehicle (I did a quick search at partsgeek and rockauto)
I have used a glue called Welder (not JB Weld) with good success.  Fixed a cracked water storage container with it. But, first I have to get the darn thing out

So..I just spent $5 to have a mechanic tell me I need to remove that housing. Well...duh...I knew that
What I need to know is how. Guy told me to take it to a mechanic. Yeah. Ok.....

So back to the question....

I am trying to get pictures off my iPhone to post here

What is the make and model? Most modern vehicles require you to remove the entire dash to access the HVAC housing.
