Removing air conditioner for a fan - waldenbound - 06-10-2018

My new to me RPod is too luxurious for me. You know me, I like some technology but not overbearing.
I think the air conditioning is too much. I can use it plugged in but boondocking, no way. Would there be a lot involved in removing it and replacing with a Fantastic Fan?

I also don’t want the tv, can I just unplug everything and remove the bolt? Any tricky wiring I would mess up?t

there are times when ac is a very good thing
should be a direct replacement, just a matter of getting up there and doing it
https://shop.marinehowto.com/products/bed-it-tape,if you have a mailing address i can send you enough to do a vent

if the tv has a electrical plug just remove it,if it's hard wired cut the wire in the middle so you have enough on the back of the tv and coming out of the wall to reuse, cap your wires until you find some electrical gizmo you want to hook to them

Sometime in the last week or 2 I saw on YT a guy take out his roof AC and install a vent fan.  I can't remember who it was.   I just like to see things as I can grasp better how to do something after seeing in done.

I could read crochet patters and learned the stitches from books.  Then I still could not make anything until a lady I worked with helped me to understand the patterns by putting actions to the words. Years later I won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons at a county fair with my crochet in SD......go figure Big Grin

I had two AC's on my class A.
Took one off and replaced it with the fan.
The hole is the same size 14x14.
I re used the power wire rather than run a new one (in case I ever wanted to have two AC's again) disconnecting it from the AC breaker and connecting it to a 12v fuse in the 12v box.
Then hooked the fan to it.

Do you need a step by step reply ?

Oh , and I also replaced the other AC with a 9000btu new one so my Honda 2000 could run it...

Never put the other one back , even living in Death Valley for 7 months.

I wouldnt do it my self, the ac that is. I’m just wondering if i should. I don’t have enough to power it while boondockibg i know that. It does work as a fan though, but it’s loud. Sounds like a 737 taking off.
The tv us definitely coming out. Not wired, just plug, jacks, and coax cable.
